The 8^th edition will take place on Wednesday 5^th & Thursday 6^th February 2014 !

Over 3.000 participants from 56 countries attended the 7^th edition of ADF held on the 6^th and 7^th February 2013. 60 suppliers of aerosol packagings, dispensing systems, packaging, products, technologies and service providers presented their innovations. Everyone stressed the relaxed setting, user-friendly scale of the exhibition, easy access and high standard of discussions among experts, which foster the emergence of new projects and innovation.

The session on recent advances in aerosol techniques took stock of gaskets and polymer components, manufacturing line controls, induction as an alternative to water baths, and solutions for can customisation. Clinching, which is an important aspect of aerosol sealing, was addressed by an expert panel and will be the subject of an in-depth session at the next edition.

The theme of varnishes highlighted new regulatory requirements with a view to finding an alternative to the use of BPAs. It was followed by a session on propellants.

The Paris Aerosol & Dispensing Awards ceremony once again underscored the dynamism of the aerosol and dispensing industry by singling out the « Tri-diffusion deodorant», MENNEN, the « Masa » range, NEW FOOD SPRAY, Flairosol packaging, AFA DISPENSING for POKON, the printing, varnishing and embossing techniques of TUBEX. In his speech, Xavier CAMIDEBACH, from Precision, highlighted forward-looking achievements like « Intravalve », « Le Soufflé Minute » or « Les Siphonés », placed on the market this year.

For the 2014 Awards, entries should be received before the 14^th November 2013. 

The second day focussed on prospects for the development of plastic aerosols, to boost their development on the market, and on foams and spray, taking stock of the most recent developments and research to limit their environmental impact. These two session were a resounding success.

The session on the impact of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) on business practices, making companies more nimble, elicited keen interest among experts. A subject worth revisiting ! 

ADF2014 in progress!

The 8^th edition of Aerosol & Dispensing Forum will be held on Wednesday 5^th and Thursday 6^th February, 2014, at the  Espace Champerret, in Paris, at the same time as the 10^th edition of PCD. Sustainability remains the main theme of the conference and exhibition in taking into account packaging for economies of emerging countries. We programme will cover:

• Clinching and sealing of aerosols
• Compatibility and predictivity (varnishes: topical issues, weathering tests, corrosion)
• Spray & Dispensing technologies: state of the art. Contribution of airless technologies.
• Materials, manufacturing and decoration techniques in a context of sustainable development, eco-design and DDS
• Prospects, intellectual property and patents :« patents’ reading » workshop
• Innovation, open-innovation, purchases: what strategy?
